He founded Avanti Linens in 1969 and created a new product: category-embellished towels. Over the next 45 years, Avanti continued to innovate, remaining the dominant player in the industry. In 1986, Avanti moved to its current location in Moonachie, first occupying 65,000 square feet and now occupying the entire 175,000-square-foot facility with more than 150 employees. All design, marketing, sales and administrative functions are housed in the Meadowlands location.Â
