Legend of the Meadlowlands
George Young
He served as the general manager of the Giants from 1979-97 and is credited with building the team that won its first two Super Bowls by drafting Lawrence Taylor and Phil Simms and elevating Bill Parcells to head coach. A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he never forgot the Meadowlands, as he keynoted the annual Rites of Spring luncheon just prior to the NFL Draft each year for the Meadowlands Chamber.
