A former secretary of commerce in Gov. Jim Florio’s administration, Zoffinger enjoyed a successful career in banking prior to being tapped by Gov. Jim McGreevey to be president of the NJSEA during a time of transition that saw the state exit the racing business, redevelop Giants Stadium into MetLife Stadium and redevelop the land around the shuttered Izod Center in what is now American Dream.
