Ken Vehrkens
The academic dean at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck for more than 30 years and the head of the Anthony J. Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies, Vehrkens authored more than 60 research articles. Vehrkens was the educational consultant for the National Football League and developed a model degree-completion program for the Giants. In May 2007, Vehrkens received the Unsung Hero Award from Minority Athletes Networking for his service to the community and as a member of MAN’s board of advisers.
