Founder Don Prudencio Unanue Ortiz arrived in the U.S. in 1918 and founded Goya Foods, the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the U.S. Goya’s headquarters office and major distribution centers have been located in the Meadowlands since the 1950s. One of the country’s most generous companies, Goya supports hundreds of local organizations in the Meadowlands and across the U.S., helping to fight food insecurity while leading other civic initiatives.
