Mountain Creek Resort’s Oktoberfest celebration is this weekend

It’s time to bust out the brats and brews again to celebrate the return of Mountain Creek Resort’s 39th annual Oktoberfest celebration. The fun runs on two days only, Saturday and Sunday, with authentic German cuisine, games, music and more.

Mountain Creek promises to offer games, music and more. Adults can participate in lawn games like the stein and pie eating contests, a lumberjack contest, hay bale toss and wife carrying relay, or battle it out in a classic sack race, while kids enjoy petting zoos, bounce houses and face painting.

This weekend’s event will also feature authentic German cuisine and over 10 varieties of German and domestic beers, cider, seltzer and canned cocktails spread across an expansive footprint or beer trailers and satellite drink stations. Wine will be available at the wine tent and liquor at the Biergarten.

Also available for purchase is a selection of festival food such as German pretzels, desserts or traditional German fare including Schweinshaxe, sliced sauerbraten sandwiches, grilled bratwurst and potato pancakes.

Classic menu items like cheeseburgers and hamburgers, jumbo hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches and French fries will also be available for purchase.

The resort encourages all guests to bring their own picnic blankets and lawn chairs to get comfortable and be in for a night they are sure to remember.

General admission costs $25 per person, with free admission for children 6 & under, which includes live music, entertainment and activities fit for kids and adults alike.

Guests can also take free sky rides on the Mountain Creek lift or experience Mountain Coaster rides for just $15 per ride.

VIP Packages will also be available for $200 and include access to the VIP Tent with a buffet & bar service, private restroom space, commemorative stein with 1 fill and assorted giveaways, as well as complimentary parking.

Musical entertainment includes John Stevens’ Polka Band and the Spins. With a whole host of unique German events, Oktoberfest at Mountain Creek has something for everyone. For more information, deals and daily hours of operation, click here.
