Marcus & Millichap helps trade $17.7M luxury apartment building in Jersey City

A six-story, 45-unit apartment building in Jersey City has sold for $17.7 million, according to a Thursday announcement from Marcus & Millichap.

Located at 211 Baldwin St., 6ixBoroJC is a newly constructed boutique building that consists of three studios, 35 one-bedroom units and seven two-bedroom apartments.

“Journal Square has witnessed a surge in recent development, with new projects finally breaking ground and being constructed. This expansion of the neighborhood speaks to the demand for high-quality assets like 6ixBoroJC,” Jonathan Zamora, first vice president of investments, said. “This sale demonstrates our ability to navigate the volatile interest rate market and successfully close deals despite the challenging environment we are in.”

Zamora had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller. The buyer, a New Jesey-based private developer, was also procured by Zamora.

Building amenities include a fitness center, on-site parking, a pet washing station, a resident lounge and more. Apartment units feature spacious kitchens, heated bathroom floors, in-unit laundry and private roof decks and balconies with views of the New York City skyline. The property is a six-minute walk to Journal Square PATH Station in Jersey City, which provides convenient, 24/7 access to Lower and Midtown Manhattan.
