New Jersey Institute of Technology is partnering with Coursera to offer its community free access to Google Career Certificates in cybersecurity, data analytics, digital marketing, information technology support, project management and UX design.
This partnership provides opportunities for NJIT community members — including alumni and residents of the university’s home city of Newark — to expand their skillsets. With access to licenses, this opportunity aligns with NJIT’s mission of building partnerships that benefit the communities that NJIT serves.
Each program is fully online and carefully crafted and designed by Google experts with decades of experience. In three to six months, learners will develop the skills necessary to be competitive and successful in their careers.
Additionally, the partnership includes access to the Google Employer Consortium of more than 150 employers who are committed to consider hiring certificate graduates.
“This opportunity further demonstrates NJIT’s commitment to pair innovative learning with real-time skill development,” said Michael Edmondson, NJIT’s associate provost for continued learning.
