River Crossing Strategy Group, a full-service lobbying and public affairs firm with offices in Trenton and Woodbridge, announced this week that it is opening an office in Jacksonville, Florida — one that will be led by the well-known and highly respected Tim White.
White, a new Florida resident who has been with RCSG since 2016, will serve as managing director of the firm’s Northeast Florida practice — one that will initially offer public affairs/issue advocacy management and strategic communications consulting and grow additional services in local, county and state-level government relations.
White, who will continue to have an active presence in New Jersey and continue serving on the board of the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce and the New Jersey City University Foundation board, said the potential in Florida is great.
“For well over a year, we’ve been working to expand our firm’s network of relationships with key stakeholders and public officials in the city of Jacksonville and throughout the St. Johns County region,” White said. “We are an active member of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, a supporter of several local nonprofit organizations and were recently involved in a successful community engagement campaign that helped resolve a controversial school board issue in St. John’s County.”
Situated in Northeast corridor of the nation’s third-largest state, the Jacksonville/St. Johns County area is widely recognized as one of the fastest-growing regions in the country, characterized by a flourishing real estate market, world-class health care networks and prestigious public and private educational institutions.
Eric Shuffler, River Crossing’s founding partner, said the firm is eager to bring its brand there.
“Over 15 years, River Crossing Strategy Group has built itself into one of New Jersey’s most well-respected lobbying firms,” he said. “We are problem-solvers with an extreme focus on client service, substantive and political insight and determined execution to achieve real results.
“Tim’s relocation to Florida has created a unique opportunity for us to build a practice in this fast-growing region around the same principles that have fueled our success in New Jersey.”
RCSG Partner Kevin McCabe agreed.
“The combination of Tim’s growing relationships in Florida, his business development skills (and) our existing client and personal relationships creates a powerful growth dynamic. This is an exciting opportunity for Tim and time for us at River Crossing Strategy Group,” he said.
The news was well received in Florida.
Bob Porter, vice president of public affairs with the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, said his group is eager to expand its relationship with River Crossing.
“There is a tremendous amount of economic development, transportation infrastructure and real estate investment happening in St. Johns County and throughout Northeast Florida right now,” he said. “This is an exciting region to do business in, with a vast amount of business growth opportunities.
“We welcome Tim and the River Crossing team as they establish and grow their footprint here on the First Coast.”
