Verizon appoints Flood as Atlantic North Market president

Chris Flood has been appointed as the senior vice president and market president of Verizon’s Atlantic North Market, which includes New Jersey. Flood will be responsible for overseeing all consumer sales, distribution and operational execution across the market’s 12 states (plus Washington, D.C.), leading a team of more than 2,800 employees, managing 286 corporate stores and responsible for a region covering more than 1,100 indirect stores and nearly the entire Verizon Fios footprint.

In his previous role, Flood served as the consumer vice president of Verizon Consumer Group’s Northeast Region, where he led corporate retail and indirect sales. He also held the position of vice president – strategic partners, where he spearheaded strategy and performance for outsourced partners that delivered customer service capabilities to more than 100 million mobile and Fios consumers.

“At Verizon, we take pride in the critical role we have in connecting people to the people and things that matter most to them and I look forward to leading a team of such talented and hardworking colleagues,” Flood said. “I started in this market as a sales rep 22 years ago. To say it is a dream come true to lead it is the understatement of the century.”

According to Verizon, Flood’s leadership philosophy centers on fostering a positive culture, firmly believing that, when one builds a great culture, the results will naturally follow. In the Atlantic North Market, Flood has cultivated a culture of integrity, performance excellence, transparency and a strong commitment to giving back to the communities Verizon serves.
