Valley Health System was recently recognized as one of the nation’s “Most Wired,” according to the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives‘ Digital Health Most Wired 2023 survey.
CHIME’s Most Wired distinction recognizes hospitals and health systems that are at the forefront of using health care information technology to improve the delivery of care. Valley received a Level 8 certification in the Acute survey selection, which is one of the highest certifications given by CHIME.
Among the more than 55,000 facilities represented, Valley ranked above peers in categories like analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure and patient engagement. The survey assessed the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in health care organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry leading.
“Valley is proud to have once again made the Most Wired list and to have earned one of the highest certification levels,” Eric Carey, vice president of information systems and chief information officer for Valley Health System, said. “We strategically leverage technology to optimize access to high-quality care, as well as to improve outcomes and the patient experience. Driving toward the opening of our new hospital, we are excited about the exceptional new technologies we are implementing to further our commitment to our patients.”
This is the 23rd year that Valley has made this list.
“We are proud to recognize Valley’s exceptional dedication to digital health excellence,” CHIME CEO and President Russell Branzell said. “Valley’s pioneering performance in the industry not only inspires other organizations by example, but also provides patients around the world with better care.”
