‘An old-school networking event’

ROI-NJ’s inaugural Champions of the C-Suite event is hit with hundreds

We gave out some awards Thursday night — it was, after all, an event entitled “The Champions of the C-Suite.”

But, what pleased the more than 300 attendees at the Hanover Manor the most was the time they got to network with each other. Two hours of good fun, drink and conversation among and between many of the top business leaders in the state.

We even let the scheduled networking time run over — it was that big of a hit, that filled of a room.

“You had an old-school networking event — the way they used to do it in New Jersey,” one honoree said. “It was perfect.”

We’ll take the praise — but the honorees deserve the credit.

When ROI-NJ pitched the idea of a celebration to honor the state’s top leaders, we heard the same thing from everyone: Lots of networking, no speeches, plenty of fun.

We feel we delivered.

Even the awards ceremony — an under-an-hour presentation of more than 100 awards — went quickly and lively, thanks to DJMC Entertainment.

At ROI-NJ, we were happy to put on such a fun show. And grateful to all of the sponsors who made it possible, with a special nod to our sponsor partners:

An additional thank-you goes to our event partner: the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.

“The format was perfect,” another honoree said. “Please say you’re going to do it again next year.”

We will.
