The American College of Healthcare Executives – N.J. Chapter recently honored Bill Arnold with its Distinguished Service Award during the organization’s annual meeting at the New Brunswick Hyatt.
Arnold is executive vice president and president of the Southern Region for RWJBarnabas Health and is the CEO of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He is also the vice chair of the New Jersey Hospital Association board of trustees.
ACHE-N.J. is an organization for those who direct management services and programs within health care facilities, networks and related organizations. It supports activities to assist members in advancement in the ACHE, including professional development and expanded networking opportunities.
The ACHE-N.J. Distinguished Service Award is given to a leader who has made significant contributions to health care in New Jersey. Candidates eligible to receive the award include business leaders, clinicians, community volunteers, educators, health care administrators, legislators and researchers.
“I am grateful to the many people who have mentored and supported my achievements in health care,” Arnold said. “I share this award with all of them, and pledge to do the same for the next generation of leaders in our industry.”
Prior to his promotion to the regional role in 2019, he served as CEO and president of Monmouth Medical Center and the Unterberg Children’s Hospital, and he has held a variety of operational leadership roles throughout his career with the health system.
Arnold serves on the governing board of the New Jersey Hospital Association and is a member of the board of directors of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls, VNA Health Group, Boys & Girls Club of Asbury Park and the Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation.
