Avison Young on Tuesday said it arranged a new lease along Christie Heights in Leonia, on behalf of its landlord client, to repurpose an existing building into an adult day care facility.
The 67,000-square-foot property will be renovated and operated by MFR Enterprises to respond to the growing demand for quality care for underserved senior populations in the area.
The landlord was represented by Senior Vice President Marc Krieger, who is based in Avison Young’s Morristown office. The tenant, MFR Enterprises, was represented by Yoomi Nam of Hyst Realty.
“There is a significant need for senior care in Northern New Jersey and we’re pleased that this new facility will help meet the continued needs of this population. The property is ideally located near major thoroughfares and central neighborhoods providing centralized access for those requiring the specialized services of the tenant,” Krieger said.
The two-story property is located across from Leonia High School and is surrounded by both residential and industrial properties. MFR Enterprises plans to open the facility, Lily Life, in the fall of 2024.
“Demand for quality care for adults is growing. The Borough of Leonia understands the benefit of having a resource like this in place and we look forward to serving this community,” Michael Reuten, owner of MFR Enterprises said.
