Hackensack Meridian Health opens new Health & Wellness Center in Clark

Hackensack Meridian Health this week announced the opening of its new Health & Wellness Center in Clark, providing easy, one-stop access to a variety of health care services in Union County.

Conveniently located on Raritan Road where Barnes & Noble used to be located, the facility brings personal, convenient and accessible care to communities throughout Union County.

“Hackensack Meridian Health is committed to delivering high-quality, accessible, compassionate care to the patients and communities we serve,” Robert Garrett, CEO, Hackensack Meridian Health, said. “We are committed to meeting patients where they are by providing a one-stop shop that provides primary care, specialty, urgent care and other services to meet the needs of every patient.”

The opening of the new center creates a more user-friendly and convenient experience for patients by delivering care on their own terms. The center brings together adult primary care clinicians along with other adult specialties, including cardiology, neurology, women’s services, gynecologic oncology and obstetrics & gynecology.

“New Jersey’s largest health network is dedicated to increasing access to care, and opening Hackensack Meridian Health & Wellness Center at Clark is an integral part of that effort,” Dr. Daniel Varga, chief physician executive, Hackensack Meridian Health, said. “Our team members all share the same electronic health record, enabling physicians to collaborate easily and enhancing the overall patient experience.”

This new care center also offers a variety of services, including a lab where patients can receive blood work steps away from their doctor’s office, as well as diagnostic imaging. The diagnostic imaging suite provides a serene, relaxing environment where patients can receive mammograms, ultrasounds, X-rays and Dexa scans.

The center also will be offering rehabilitation services early next year. The Urgent Care Center offers convenient hours, including nights and weekends. Patients can take advantage of walk-in urgent care and virtual visits, along with care for everyday illness and injury. They also provide more advanced services, including imaging, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains or strains. Physicians have the support of Hackensack Meridian Health’s award-winning hospitals if a higher level of care is needed.

“Hackensack Meridian Health believes that everyone deserves to have access to high-quality, affordable, convenient health care,” Michael Geiger, senior vice president, health ventures for Hackensack Meridian Health, said. “By meeting people where they live and bringing world-class physicians to one convenient location, we are building healthier communities and improving outcomes.”
