Grant program, which aims to connect N.J. college students with N.J. businesses, has Jan. 12 application deadline

Applications for the Career Accelerator Internship Grant Program — a program run by the state that provides grant funding for summer internships for businesses working with New Jersey colleges — are being accepted until 5 p.m. Jan. 12.

Small businesses and nonprofits are eligible for the program, which runs from May-August. (For more information, click here, or contact CAIGP@oshe.nj.gov.)

The program is run by the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education, which is striving to strengthen the connections between employers and New Jersey institutions of higher education to generate those opportunities while ensuring that there are positive educational impacts for all students.

The grant program will provide funding to New Jersey employers who are interested in hosting undergraduate or graduate interns from New Jersey’s colleges and universities.

The program is part of the New Jersey’s Student Bill of Rights, which says every New Jersey student should have experiential learning opportunities.
