Sayreville-based Sabert Corp., a leader in sustainable packaging solutions, recently announced the appointment of Paul McCann as CEO, effective immediately.
Sabert founder and CEO Albert Salama will shift into a new role as executive chairman and partner closely with McCann to ensure a smooth transition to continue the company’s growth trajectory and market leadership position.
McCann joins Sabert with over 25 years of experience in the packaging and process industries and a strong track record of transformational leadership and business growth.
In his new role, McCann will lead all aspects of Sabert’s global business operations and strategy. He will oversee the company’s North American, European and Asia Pacific business units and supply chain operations.

McCann joins Sabert from Graphic Packaging International, where he served most recently as senior vice president, leading its $1 billion-plus foodservice division. His past professional experience includes senior management roles with Solo Cup Co., Smurfit Stone Container and Monsanto, where he has held positions in procurement, supply chain and operations, and general management. His broad experience base includes key international leadership roles where he was based in Shanghai, China and Geneva, Switzerland.
