Matthew Sinkman has been promoted to director at Gibbons P.C., the firm announced Monday.
The title of director is similar to what many firms call a partner.
Sinkman is a member of the firm’s Environmental Group. His practice includes representing plaintiffs and defendants in Superfund and other litigation matters regarding the cleanup of hazardous waste sites. He also represents buyers, sellers and developers of contaminated properties.
Managing Partner Peter Torcicollo applauded the announcement.
“Matt has been a great asset to the firm and has enhanced the depth of experience Gibbons is able to provide for its clients in the environmental law area,” he said. “We look forward to watching Matt further excel in his career.”
Sinkman is a former assistant attorney general in the New York State Office of the Attorney General’s Environmental Protection Bureau. He was recently selected to serve on the board of directors of the New York City Brownfield Partnership, effective in January, for a two-year term.
Resident in Gibbons’s New York office, he is admitted to practice in the states of New York and New Jersey.
