The ultimate promotion: One-time interns Latko, Schiavo named partners at Thomas/Boyd

From intern to partner. Yes, it does happen.

On Friday, Caitlin Latko and Lauren Schiavo got the ultimate promotion when they were named partners at Thomas/Boyd Communications, the award-winning strategic marketing communications firm based in Moorestown.

Latko and Schiavo, formerly assistant vice presidents, will now be known as vice president/partner.

Both started their careers at TBC as interns, fresh out of college.

Schiavo, of Merchantville, graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a Bachelor of Science in television, radio and film and a minor in business management. She started in 2007.

Latko, of Cinnaminson, graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations and a minor in journalism. She started in 2008.

Founders Liz Thomas and Pam Boyd were thrilled to make the announcement.

“We are fortunate that Caitlin and Lauren committed so much time to grow with the business, both personally and professionally — first supporting, then leading client work, and now helping to manage some of the firm’s operations while bringing new business through the door,” they said in a joint statement.

“Ownership seemed like the next logical next step for both Caitlin and Lauren. We are thrilled they agreed to continue this journey with us — looking at things through more of an entrepreneurial lens.”

TBC opened its doors in 1998 and is celebrating its 26th year in business, serving clients in the business, government and nonprofit space.
