The Joy Bearden Group-Keller Williams Realty has opened its first Long Beach Island location at Walters’ newly constructed custom homes headquarters at 701 Central Ave. in Ship Bottom. The realty group leased 1,600 square feet on the first floor of the two-story, 5,000-square-foot building.
“It’s the ideal location for us to continue our longstanding partnership with Walters and to better serve clients’ residential real estate, construction and investment needs on the island,” Joy Bearden, founder of the Joy Bearden Group, which also maintains an office in Barnegat, said. “Walters builds incredible custom homes, offering a seamless in-house building process. Our new construction division supports that experience for customers by assisting with land purchases, selling and staging existing homes and coordinating closings.”
The Joy Bearden Group’s new office accommodates seven employees and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
“Long Beach Island is a very special place, and we’re looking forward to working with and giving back to the community,” Bearden added.
Bearden has established herself as a top producer in the area, with over 20 years of real estate experience. Keller Williams is the No. 1 office in Ocean County, with 11 branch offices encompassing over 500 agents.
In addition to housing the Joy Bearden Group, 701 Central Ave. is home to Walters’ custom homes division, including a sales and design center; and Walters Architecture. Walters occupies the building’s second story and shares a reception area on the first floor with the realty group. The remaining space on the first floor will house a restaurant user expected to open in the spring.
“By choosing to build a presence on Long Beach Island, we are strengthening connections,” Ed Walters Jr., president and founder of Walters, said. “We have known Joy and her team for many years, and they are an outstanding resource for our local clients and the entire community. We welcome them and look forward to a continued partnership for years to come.”
With its main headquarters in Barnegat, Walters is a leader in sustainable construction and has residential developments throughout Ocean County. In Ortley Beach, another Walters sales office opened this year to serve as the central hub for the Osborn Dunes at South Mantoloking development in Brick.
