Designer tile manufacturer and distributor takes 80,250 sq. ft. in relocation to Edison

Designer ceramic tile manufacturer and distributor Roca Tile signed an 80,250-square-foot relocation and expansion lease at Wick Cos.‘ 74 Carter Drive in Edison, according to a Tuesday announcement from CBRE.

Roca Tile is relocating its distribution space from 8001 Industrial Ave. in Carteret.

The CBRE team of Chad Hillyer, Kevin Dudley, Tristan Askew, Jake Westfall, Nicholas Klacik and Kate Granahan led the site selection search and negotiated the long-term lease on behalf of the tenant directly with the property owner.

“Roca Tile was looking to expand their warehouse and distribution space, while also pursuing the trend of tenants seeking more economic rent in lower-cost submarkets,” Hillyer of CBRE said. “74 Carter Drive provided a Class A opportunity and a full-building identity with all the necessary requirements to fit the tenant’s expansion needs.”

Built in 2018, the single-story industrial property offers 32-foot clear ceiling heights, 14 loading docks, ample power and parking for 29 vehicles. The building was previously home to North American Logistics Group. The property is conveniently located within the 14-acre, three-building Edison Commerce Center, offering easy access to Interstate 287, Routes 1 and 27 and close to both commuter rail and freight distribution, as well as Newark Liberty International and Trenton-Mercer airports.
