Bennis is an accomplished health care executive with extensive leadership experience and a track record of positioning companies for growth across various health care sectors, including insurance, pharmacy, care delivery and health care services, where he and his teams improved the operations of various organizations and produced game-changing results.
CEO Dennis Wilson applauded the announcement.
“Karim’s deep knowledge of the insurance industry and expertise in operations and strategic transformation will be a driving force in our company’s next chapter,” he said.

Bennis also has led key Walmart U.S. Health and Wellness efforts, where his teams turned around and reinvented the pharmacy business while executing the “supercenter of health care” strategy that created a disruptive one-stop shop of care delivery providing access to affordable and quality care at scale: Walmart Health.
In his previous role at Monitor Deloitte, he developed and executed large-scale enterprise transformations, strategy development, merger integration and operational improvement engagements for large and midsize health care clients.
“I am pleased to join Delta Dental of New Jersey to help support its mission to provide accessible dental benefit programs of the highest quality, service and value,” he said. “With an eye towards operational efficiency and strategic growth, I look forward to promoting oral health and vision health across the region.”
Bennis is well educated. He received his MBA at UCLA Anderson School of Management, his Master of Public Administration at Harvard Kennedy School of Government, his Master of Applied Finance from Pepperdine University and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris, France.
