CBRE hires industrial expert Shoemaker as SVP focusing on multimarket industrial occupiers

CBRE on Thursday said Stephen Shoemaker has been hired as a senior vice president, partnering with CBRE Vice Chairmen Jeffrey Babikian and David Opper, focusing on multimarket industrial occupiers.

Shoemaker’s clients have included food & beverage, third-party logistics, bulk distributors, drayage/port, intermodal, trailer parking and retail logistics occupiers. He has also represented prominent property owners such as LINK, Brookfield, Realterm and Prologis, and notable tenants like JB Hunt, New Jersey Transit and Goodwill, to name a few.

“Stephen is a recognized leader implementing top-tier service strategies to numerous Fortune 500 companies, and an excellent addition to our multimarket account services team,” Jeffrey Hipschman, senior managing director of CBRE’s New Jersey operations, said. “His client base includes a diverse array of leading industrial occupiers and owners.”

“This is a great opportunity to launch the next phase of my career working with some of the top advisory experts in the country at CBRE,” Shoemaker said. “I look forward to adding my unique industrial and logistics expertise to this team as we seek to provide multimarket, multidisciplined real estate advisory to our broad array of clients.”

Prior to joining CBRE, Shoemaker worked at Cushman & Wakefield, which he joined in 2017, and specialized in industrial logistics and supply chain tenant and landlord representation, rising to the rank of executive director in 2023.
