Business bash: Made (and sold) in Asbury Park event Saturday

Made (and sold) in Asbury Park” is a first-of-its-kind event created to showcase the city’s Urban Enterprise Zone businesses and highlight all that Asbury Park has to offer potential businesses and consumers, will be held Feb. 3 at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel.

JulieAnn Murray, Asbury Park’s UEZ business development administrator, said interest in the event has been strong.

“Interest in ‘Made (and sold) in Asbury Park’ has been unending, which is a testament to the desire to see what we’re all about,” she said. “We look forward to seeing everyone this Saturday and to showing off what makes Asbury Park so great.”

The event will include plenty of entertainment.

Musicians Tony Miceli (noon-2 p.m.) and Bill Carter (2-5 p.m.) will be performing, while Wild Air Beer, Asbury Park Brewery and Asbury Park Distilling Co. will have drinks available for purchase.

Attendees will be allowed to make purchases at the event, which will also feature food and drinks for purchase. Business owners and entrepreneurs looking for a new host city, consumers looking for premier products and everyone in between looking to enjoy some good food, good music and good companies are welcome to attend. Admission to the event is free to the public.
