Rutgers Athletics and SHI International on Monday announced they signed a four-year extension to their naming rights partnership. The agreement keeps the SHI Stadium name on the home venue for Rutgers football and men’s and women’s lacrosse through June 2029.
Rutgers and SHI originally signed their agreement in 2019, when the Somerset-based information technology solutions provider became the official naming rights partner of Rutgers Stadium.
“Five years ago, our company embarked on a new journey with a university whose graduates have long helped define what it means to be an SHI employee,” Thai Lee, CEO and president of SHI International, said. “Today we continue to be excited by the overwhelmingly positive results of our ever-growing partnership and with the role SHI plays within the Rutgers community. We are very proud that SHI Stadium — ‘on the banks of the old Raritan’ — will remain the home of the Scarlet Knights through the end of this decade.”
“Thai Lee and SHI have been incredible partners from day one,” Director of Athletics Pat Hobbs said. “With each year, we see more and more opportunities to work together, not just around football and athletics, but campuswide. I look forward to continuing to grow this partnership in the years ahead.”
Through this partnership, SHI will maintain significant brand exposure through signage in and around the stadium, including exterior stadium signage, scoreboard signage, campus directional signage and logo placement on the field.
SHI branding will also be visible at other venues across campus, including Jersey Mike’s Arena, Yurcak Field, Bainton Field and the Softball Complex. Additionally, SHI will receive cross-promotional opportunities with Rutgers marks and logos through a variety of multimedia assets.
