Felician University‘s Barbara J. Toscano Nursing Resource and Simulation Center received the latest in-patient simulation technology earlier this month with the delivery of an Anatomage table, an Augmented Reality System and realistic suture arms.
The unique and specialized equipment allows students to learn about the anatomy and physiology of the human body through 3D visualizations. With the Augmented Reality System, students are able to interact with their patients in a one-on-one setting, preparing them for their future careers. The suture arms provide students with a realistic feel for subcutaneous tissue, allowing them to practice good techniques.
The new equipment is made possible through a New Jersey State Equipment Leasing Fund Grant, which was awarded to Felician University in 2023.
Through baccalaureate and master’s degree programs, the School of Nursing students become resilient leaders, passionate about their values and advocacy role in caring for patients, families and communities with the complex global health care environment.
