Jersey City-based Segal McCambridge of Jersey City on Thursday announced that Shareholder Alexander Schaffel was promoted to director of recruiting & development, a newly established position at the firm. Schaffel has experience in legal areas such as toxic tort and general liability; his professional experience also entails human resources and recruiting, making him a natural fit for this role.
Schaffel will lead firmwide efforts to attract and retain top-tier legal talent and assist with professional development. His duties will entail fostering talent development via lateral recruiting, evaluating hiring needs and overseeing internship programs in collaboration with top universities and law education programs. Additionally, Schaffel will plan and implement internal training programs and strategies to assist new attorneys with integration within the firm.
