Real estate firm Colliers announces the expansion of its life sciences practice group with the hiring of Mark Bogart as a senior associate in its Princeton office.
Colliers’ Princeton life sciences team is led by Executive Vice President Charlie Hatfield, who has nearly 30 years of experience in commercial real estate and related fields. The Hatfield-led team has a strong history of executing complex dispositions, regularly working with leading companies such as Merrill Lynch, Aetna/U.S. Healthcare and Lehman Bros., among others.
New Jersey’s life sciences market has seen rapid growth from emerging pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in recent years due to its strategic location, talented and experienced workforce and seamless supply chain infrastructure, according to Colliers’ 2023 Life Sciences research.
Currently, New Jersey is home to eight of the top 10 research & development companies in the world, including Merck, Bristol Myers Squibb and Johnson & Johnson.
The appointment of Bogart signifies Colliers’ ongoing strategic approach to grow its life sciences practice group in New Jersey’s competitive landscape. In his new role, Bogart will bring his experience in contract negotiation and business development to help industry-leading life science companies find and develop space that meets unique operational requirements in the ultracompetitive market. Bogart will also assist the team on sourcing new business, as well as landlord and tenant representation. Throughout his prominent career, Bogart has closed over $150 million in sales across asset types, averaging approximately 20 deals per year.
“Life sciences continues to be a massive driver for the Princeton economy, and we’re honored to partner with dozens of leading institutions in helping support their critical work,” Hatfield said. “Mark is a fantastic addition to the team bringing a fresh energy that will help serve our valued clients.”
“The real positive impact this practice group has on society is what drove me to this opportunity,” Bogart said. “It’s an honor to be part of the innovative and industry-leading work that this team is accomplishing, and I’m looking forward to helping the Princeton office expand these efforts.”
