Riker Danzig litigation attorney, Bethany Abele, installed as president of Morris County Bar Association

Bethany Abele, a partner in Riker Danzig‘s Commercial Litigation Group, was recently installed as president of the Morris County Bar Association, according to an announcement from the Morristown-based law firm.

Abele is a member of the MCBA’s Women Lawyers Committee, Civil Practice Committee, Chancery Committee and Financial Services Committee and has served as chair of the Golf Committee and as co-chair of the Women Lawyers Committee. She also serves on the board of the Morris County Bar Foundation and was the president of the Morris County Bar Foundation in 2022.

With a focus on banking and title insurance litigation, Abele has represented title insurance companies and their insureds in a wide variety of actions, including coverage investigations, disputes between the insurance company and insured, and serving as retained counsel in matters concerning allegations of forgery, mortgage fraud, boundary line disputes and actions arising from alleged title defects, among other things. She is co-host of the firm’s “Title Nerds” podcast, discussing issues that impact the title insurance industry.

Abele serves on the Lafayette College Alumni Interfraternity and Sorority Board and as an alumni admissions representative for the college. She is also a member of the board of directors of Cornerstone Family Programs & Morristown Neighborhood House, which provides services and resources to strengthen the community by helping people build better lives. She is also a member of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association and CREWNJ.
