Nonprofit leader Kelly Watts named executive director at Affinity Foundation

Affinity Foundation on Wednesday shared that nonprofit leader Kelly Watts has joined the Basking Ridge firm as its new executive director. With an extensive background in the nonprofit sector, Watts brings comprehensive experience in development, communications and leadership to her role of enhancing wellbeing in the communities that Affinity Federal Credit Union serves.

Before joining the foundation, Watts played a vital leadership role in the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Vietnam Era Education Center & Museum in Holmdel, where she served as the executive director for 17 years. She also held various positions at Rutgers University, the Boys & Girls Club of Mercer County, New Brunswick Tomorrow and Fulfill, the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean County.

Watts’ accomplishments include leading successful capital and annual campaigns, securing public- and private-sector grants and managing major individual gift programs. Her strategic communication initiatives have been instrumental in sharing impactful stories, increasing public awareness and fostering strategic partnerships to advance the mission and vision of organizations.
