Bergen County pizza fans now have more delicious options than ever, thanks to the recent opening of SQ Pizza in Montvale.
This is the second location of the popular fast-casual concept serving authentic Roman-style pizza, pasta, salad and house-made gelato. It’s owned and operated by George and Anoush Georgiades, whose Mahwah location opened in 2021. The restaurant is a synthesis of George Georgiades’ fine dining bona fides in combination with Anoush Georgiades’ design sensibility and love of the fast-casual form.
New Jersey lovers of Greek cuisine might remember George Georgiades as the executive chef/partner of Varka Estiatorio in Ramsey.
SQP serves up pizzas with high-hydration, long-rising, 72-hour dough, using quality ingredients and non-GMO wheat flour imported from Italy. The result? It’s light, airy, crispy and (most importantly) delicious. SQP also has two gluten-free crust options, so it’s a perfect choice for pizza lovers with gluten sensitivity.
Another hallmark of SQP? Menu flexibility. The classic square may be ordered by the slice, 6-slice half pan or 12-slice full pan.
SQP also serves wings, artisanal sandwiches with house-made pizza bread, vibrant salads and desserts including freshly made, from-scratch Gelato.
