Women-owned cannabis facility opening in Vernon; launches new brand, Onyx

Sussex Cultivation

Sussex Cultivation, a women-owned and family-owned business in the cannabis industry, recently announced the official opening celebration of its new state-of-the-art cannabis processing facility located in Vernon, scheduled for March 14. The facility represents a significant advancement in meeting the growing demand for high-quality cannabis products in the state.

Sussex Cultivation said its manufacturing operations are poised to make a substantial impact in New Jersey. The facility, equipped with state-of-the-art solvent-less and hydrocarbon equipment, has the capability to process up to 75 pounds of biomass hourly.

The cultivation facility will begin with 2,000 square feet of indoor canopy while progressing into 30,000 square feet of capacity. Sussex is strategically positioned to enhance both cultivation and manufacturing capacities, meeting the increasing demands of New Jersey’s expanding market. Committed to sustainable living soil and rare, stable genetics, it ensures a continuous supply of top-quality cannabis.

Sussex Cultivation also announces the launch of Onyx, its flagship brand. Onyx is set to deliver a range of premium and innovative cannabis products, reflecting Sussex Cultivation’s commitment to quality and innovation.

Sussex Cultivation places community engagement at the core of its operations. The company is dedicated to establishing robust partnerships and offering co-manufacturing opportunities to fellow businesses across the state, underlining its commitment to collaborative growth and support within New Jersey.

The official opening ceremony on March 14 will feature a ribbon-cutting event and a tour of the facility at 92 Maple Grange Road in Vernon. The invite-only event will include community and industry stakeholders to celebrate and witness the unveiling of this pivotal facility.

“Opening Sussex Cultivation’s new facility marks a proud moment for us as a women-owned business in New Jersey,” Lori Dowling, owner of Sussex Cultivation, said.

Brian Dowling, president of Sussex Cultivation, emphasizes, “Our facility is more than a production site; it’s a cornerstone for innovation, community and excellence in New Jersey’s cannabis industry.”
