Florham Park-based Matrix New World Engineering on Tuesday said Brian Craine has joined the firm as vice president, ports and marine. Craine will lead Matrix’s waterfront practice, which includes coastal, marine, resiliency and ecological disciplines.
Craine brings over 19 years of experience in marine project and program management, including consultant and contractor procurement, waterfront inspection, implementation of design and construction, waterfront planning, regulatory permitting, coastal resiliency and asset management. He will leverage a growing team of Matrix professionals that specialize in marine-related engineering, regulatory and planning disciplines to deliver projects throughout the country, with a particular focus on the New York metro region and Northeast U.S.
Previously, Craine has supported commercial and public sector clients with delivery of major infrastructure projects. He has experience working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and capitally funded projects and he has provided environmental permitting guidance. Additionally, Craine has played a pivotal role in business development, overseeing contract risk analysis, fee development and technical approach materials and strategies.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brian to the team,” Matrix President Jayne Warne said. “His exceptional experience and skillset will enable us to grow our already strong position in the ports and marine marketplace.”
