Westfield-based Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper on Wednesday said John Naphor has joined as an associate in its Litigation Group, with a focus on defense litigation.
“With his outstanding expertise and experience, John will be a tremendous asset to our firm,” Eric Levine, Lindabury partner and president, said. “From favorable settlements and verdicts to success on dispositive motion practice, he is well-positioned to obtain the best possible outcome for our clients.”
Before joining Lindabury, Naphor was an associate with an international law firm, providing litigation, dispute resolution and advisory services. Previously, he served as an assistant corporation counsel at the New York City Law Department. In that role, he defended the city of New York and its client agencies in complex high-exposure tort claims involving labor/employment law and products liability as well as premises and municipal liability.
Naphor’s experience includes defending claims arising from assaults, construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability and negligent supervision. He also assessed and identified liability and litigation strategies at the onset of litigation on behalf of the city and its agencies.
“Lindabury has such an outstanding reputation for its integrity, sophisticated approach and track record in serving a wide range of businesses. I greatly look forward to working with colleagues and clients to produce results that further their goals,” Naphor said.
Naphor received his law degree from New York Law School, where he was the associate editor of the Moot Court Team and a member of the VIS Commercial Arbitration Moot team.
