Dr. Mark Andrawis, a prosthodontist and an accomplished entrepreneur, is hoping to bring new smiles — and new hope — to residents in the Rochelle Park area and surrounding region.
Andrawis opened his third New Jersey-based dental implant center this week, just about a block away from Garden State Plaza Mall. He also owns several centers in New York, and, as an independent owner, he is hoping the work he is doing will give his patients something to smile about.
There are 120 million Americans who are missing one or more teeth, and 36 million have no teeth, according to the American College of Prosthodontists.
Andrawis said that, when he opened up his first location in Roseland in 2017, he wanted to put a dent in that number.
“We’ve done a lot of work that I think has changed a lot of people’s lives in a lot of positive ways,” Andrawis said. “The absence of one or more teeth can not only lead to bone loss and other significant health issues, but a lot of these patients are struggling quite a bit with self-esteem and struggling with just being able to interact comfortably in their communities, with their families and at their jobs,” he said.
Andrawis also opened a Woodbridge facility in 2021, and he owns four centers in New York: Long Island City, Garden City, Albany and Buffalo.
While the Rochelle Park location is Andrawis’ third in the Garden State, it is the 100th ClearChoice Dental Implant Center, the national network that specializes in advanced oral disease and full mouth restorations.
“With the opening of this center, we will bring new smiles and renewed confidence to north New Jersey residents while also contributing to better oral health and quality of life for the community.”
At the center located at 201 W. Passaic St., Andrawis works with Drs. Stephen Cox, lead prosthodontist, Sebastian Mendoza, oral & maxillofacial surgeon, plus dental assistants, lab technicians and office staff.
The new facility is situated on the second floor of a four-story office building that has had the 8,000 square foot space completely renovated to accommodate the many new state-of-the-art machines and equipment for the practice. It has nine treatment rooms equipped with the latest technologies aimed at enhancing patient experience and treatment outcomes such as:
- Sprintray Pro S 3D printing system;
- Planmeca Viso G7 3D CBCT imaging unit;
- 3Shape TRIOS 5 Wireless digital intraoral scanner; and
- On-site state of the art dental lab capable of a fully digital workflow.
Andrawis said this technology allows for the creation of a 3D scan of the mouth without taking old-fashioned dental impressions.
“Patients come to us and they get highly specialized care because it’s all specialty and they don’t have to be referred out for anything. We can complete the care from A to Z in one location under the same roof.”
