ROI’s Women in Business honorees: Journalism profession well-represented

Influencers list salutes those in our profession, grateful for their efforts in important (and often thankless) job

Journalists seemingly are supposed to be invisible, the people behind the scenes that bring news and information that is so vital to society.

But, when ROI-NJ was selecting its ROI Influencers: Women in Business for 2024, the quality of journalists in the state was too overwhelming to ignore.

So, we didn’t.

Ten female journalists were honored, including Brianna Vannozzi, the anchor of NJ Spotlight News, who earned a spot in the Top 50.

Other honorees include:

  • Linda Lindner, ROI-NJ
  • Sue Livio, N.J. Advance Media
  • Linda Moss, CoStar News
  • Jessica Perry, NJBIZ
  • Stacie Sherman, Bloomberg
  • Amanda Stein, New Jersey Devils
  • Esther Surden, N.J. Tech Weekly
  • Phaedra Trethan, USA Today
  • Elise Young, Freelancer (New York Times)

All of the honorees deserved applause for fighting the good fight.

The world needs more journalists. Emulating those 10 would be a great place to start.
