Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Foundation hosts Art of Wellness event

The Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Foundation in Paramus was proud to accept a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork that was installed in the hospital’s Mammography Suite at its Art of Wellness event. Michelle Kaufman, a local artist, was inspired by the medical center’s Mammography Suite ribbon-cutting in 2023 and donated her art to celebrate the work the hospital is doing for women’s health.

“It is fitting to be in a room full of strong, powerful and successful women on the eve of International Women’s Day in support of our medical center’s continued focus on women’s health,” Deborah Visconi, CEO & president, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, said. “As New Jersey’s largest medical center, committed to furthering access and equity, it is exciting to be here in this recently renovated space looking forward to the future of health care. A future fueled by the continued support of our community, furthering increased access to innovative technology and lifesaving treatments.”

Visconi, along with Executive Director of Development Marion Troise, thanked Kaufman for her generous donation, which will brighten the day of those receiving diagnostic imaging services at the medical center. Donna Abene, foundation trustee, organized the event and Dr. Madouna Hanna, chair of physical medicine and rehabilitation, shared with attendees what the hospital is doing to improve outcomes in women’s health and wellness.

“I’m proud to be able to bring people together to see the essential work Bergen New Bridge does providing access to life essential services to our neighbors, friends and loved ones,” Abene said. “I’d like to thank the amazingly talented artist, Michelle Kaufman, for her generous gift.”
