Gerard Pizzillo, a partner at Genova Burns, has been named to the board of directors of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, the Newark-based firm announced.
In this role, Pizzillo will be responsible for fostering economic growth, promoting entrepreneurship and advocating for the interests of businesses throughout Hudson County.
Hudson chamber CEO Emory Edwards praised the appointment.
“We are thrilled to welcome Gerard Pizzillo to the leadership team of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce,” he said. “His extensive legal background and dedication to advancing our community make him an ideal addition to our board of directors.”
Pizzillo will replace longtime Genova Burns leader Angelo Genova on the board. Genova also applauded the announcement.
“I am excited for (Gerard) to join the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce as a director,” he said. “I look forward to seeing Gerard collaborate with other Hudson County business leaders to drive innovation, foster economic development and create opportunities for growth. His appointment to the board is the start of a new generation of leadership.”
Pizzillo’s law practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including redevelopment, land use and approvals — as well as governmental affairs.
