Fortune has named America’s Most Innovative Companies for 2024, and eight companies from New Jersey made the 200-firm list.

They were:

16. Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick;
79. A3 Technology, Egg Harbor City;
80. ADP, Roseland;
86. BD, Franklin Lakes;
99. Cognizant Technologies, Teaneck;

The list was compiled with the assistance of Statista Inc., a leading industry ranking and statistics company. Online surveys with employees and industry experts evaluated product innovation, process innovation and innovation culture.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as one of America’s Most Innovative Companies, and a testament to our associates and decades-long focus on innovation,” Cognizant Executive Vice President and President of Americas Surya Gummadi said in a prepared statement.

Verizon Communications and Amazon, two major companies with a strong presence in New Jersey, finished in the Top 10 at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively.
