Morristown-based law firm Riker Danzig LLP on Friday announced that it added associate Janett Smyth to its Insurance and Reinsurance Group.
Smyth has experience in all aspects of commercial litigation, insurance defense, financial services and products liability matters.
Prior to joining Riker, she served as of counsel at Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas LLP.
Smyth was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to the District VIII Ethics Committee for the 2023-2027 term. She is press secretary for the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey and a trustee of the Middlesex County Bar Foundation.
Smyth received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 2001, where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Achievement Scholarship as well as an editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine. Smyth received her B.A., magna cum laude, from New York University in 1997.
