Morey’s Piers and Beachfront Water Parks, located in Wildwood, just released its 2024 recruitment campaign, highlighting a habit we’re all familiar with — endless hours of thumb-scrolling through social media, when we could be spreading the kindness in real life.

Partnering with friend of the Piers, John Lynch, Morey’s is contributing up to $10,000 to the #ThumbsUp4Kindness cause as part of this year’s recruitment drive.

Morey’s hopes to fill 1,000 seasonal jobs available this summer.

Applications are being accepted in various departments, including ride operations, lifeguards, game operators, food & beverage, servers, bartenders, admissions and more. You must be at least 14 years of age to work at Morey’s Piers.

“At Morey’s Piers, we value giving back to our community and to our broader industry,”
Denise Beckson, vice president of human resources with Morey’s Piers, said. “I’m really excited we are able to incorporate that philosophy into our recruiting campaign this season. It’s a perfect fit — our jobs are unique and fun, but also considerate and kind — and we get to contribute to and highlight community kindness with this initiative.”

Lynch, the founder of Lunch with Lynch, added: “The Lunch with Lynch Foundation is proud of its partnership with the team at Morey’s Piers. Morey’s was one of our first local businesses that jumped right on board with our organization that supports our local schools and children. Our mission is ‘Paying it Forward with Random Acts of Kindness’ and there is no greater place to work at that encourages its associates to pay it forward with kindness as they work on piers and water parks.”

Morey’s launched the campaign with a $2,500 donation, immediately reaching 25% of the
goal. This year’s campaign uses various tactics to get prospective applicants’ attention, including billboards, social media ads, videos and large foam thumbs. The more interaction the campaign gets, the more Morey’s contributes to Lynch’s project.

Visits to WorkMoreys.com, thumbs-up on social media posts, shares and tagging @MoreysPiers all contribute to driving up the donation thumb-o-meter to reach the $10,000 goal.

A limited number of positions are available for those under the age of 18, and those interested are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. For additional wage information and to apply online, click here.
