Forbes recently released the 2024 list of the 200 finest practicing CPAs in America. According to the publication, following almost a year of research, the job of curating the Top 200 CPAs from a sea of talent was a task that echoed the very principles on which this profession stands.
Seventeen CPAs from the Garden State made the inaugural list of America’s Top 200 Accountants. The CPAs selected were recognized for their impressive track records and the barriers broken to emerge as leaders in their fields, as well as how they’ve advanced the CPA profession and given back to their communities.
“It’s truly an honor to stand alongside such exceptional professionals recognized by Forbes,” Joseph Damiano, CEO of Sax LLP in Parsippany, said. “This acknowledgment as one of America’s most esteemed CPAs underscores the invaluable contributions of the entire Sax family. Together, they’ve fueled our firm’s remarkable growth trajectory, delivering unparalleled service to our clients and propelling us to new heights in the accounting profession.”
The CPAs on Forbes’ list of America’s Top 200 Accountants were selected through a review of more than a thousand CPAs from a variety of backgrounds, specializations and locations. Those candidates were then evaluated and graded on the following criteria: their certifications and credentials, years of experience, industry specialization, professional achievements, community involvement, thought leadership, client base and diversity, ethical and regulatory compliance, and innovation and technology adoption.
