Festival to raise funds for veterans’ homes and health care

Community Hope, one of New Jersey’s leading nonprofit organizations serving homeless veterans and their families, will host Vet Fest, its 5th annual Music and Truck Festival, from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at Dave Waks Memorial Park, 39 Barbour Pond Road, Wayne.

Proceeds from the festival will go to support Community Hope’s mission of providing homeless veterans with housing assistance, as well as mental health services.

Vet Fest 2024 will feature 10 food trucks serving pizza, barbecue, ice cream and a diverse selection of ethnic favorites, as well as a Biergarten and wine selection from Four Sisters Winery.

Six era and tribute bands will be there performing music from the 1970s and ‘80s.

Vet Fest has raised more than $100,000 for veterans, with 83 cents of each dollar going directly to Community Hope’s programs and services.

Ticket prices range from $10-$19.50; family packages and discounts are available.

The rain date is Sunday, May 19.
