C&W helping pickleball company make debut in New Jersey

Real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has arranged two leases for a pickleball company coming to New Jersey, it said Tuesday.

The leases for Sportime Pickleball, a division of racquet facility operator Sportime Clubs, include a 50,000-square-foot space in Wayne and a 30,000-square-foot space in Englewood.

C&W’s Neil Seth, Jennifer Konefsky,  Kenji Ota and Kathryn Cruz represented the tenant in both transactions.

“We are very excited to open two outstanding clubs in New Jersey, our first clubs to open in the Garden State,” Daren Hornig, a principal with Sportime Pickleball and its head of real estate, said in a prepared statement. “We will have 12 dedicated pickleball courts in Englewood opening in the fall 2024, and 18 dedicated indoor courts, including a stadium court, opening in Wayne during the first quarter 2025. These facilities will be state-of-the-art, with viewing areas, locker rooms and lounges.”

The Wayne location is on the third floor of 77 Willowbrook Blvd., located in Willowbrook Plaza. Ripco’s Curtis Nassau and Patrick Brake represented the landlord, Kimco, in the transaction. The Englewood location is at 62 Route 4 E. NAI James E. Hanson’s Andrew Somple represented the landlord, 62 Route 4 East LLC, in the transaction.
