Inspira Health, the Mullica Hill-based health care system, announced a number of additions and changes to several of its boards of trustees on Tuesday.
The Inspira Health board of trustees, which oversees and provides guidance for operations and planning throughout the system, added two new members: Dr. Melissa Ritter Hermanson and Michael Shevlin.
Hermanson, an experienced nurse leader, is an award-winning administrator who currently serves in a variety of health care roles, including as administrator for an ambulatory care center in Vineland, and as an adjunct clinical instructor for Rowan College of South Jersey.
Shevlin, a noted health care technology leader, currently serves as Northeast sales director of pharma & life sciences at Microsoft.
The two replace Pam Clark and Dante Germano, who collectively served on the board for more than four decades.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Pam and Dante for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions during their tenure on the board,” Inspira Health CEO and President Amy Mansue said in a prepared statement. “Their generosity, expertise and compassion have made a lasting impact on our organization, and we are indebted to them for their service. As we welcome Melissa and Mike to our organization, we look forward to the contributions they will make in their new positions.”
Inspira also announced new leadership and members of both its hospital board of trustees and its foundation board of trustees.
Dawn Flitcraft, vice chair of the Inspira Health board, was named chair of the Inspira Health hospital board, which guides the activities of the system’s four hospitals. She is president of FLS Advisory & Consulting and an executive with the Bracken Group.
She succeeds Dr. James Bonner, the medical director of emergency medicine for Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill.
In addition, Jeffrey George, another health system board trustee, has been appointed to serve on the hospital board. George is a senior partner and wealth management adviser with the Beckett George Wealth Management Group at Merrill Lynch. He is also a military veteran, having served as a company commander during Operation Iraqi Freedom, among other roles.
The Inspira Health Foundation board of trustees, meanwhile, extended Gary Galloway’s appointment as chairman for an additional year, and named Kevin R. Gibala as the new vice chair and Elliot Hernandez as a new trustee.
Galloway, who had been chair of the hospital board for six years, is also a member of the Inspira LIFE board, serving the system’s program of all-inclusive care for the elderly.
Gibala has been on the foundation board since 2019. He is a senior regional vice president for TD Bank. Hernandez is the chief operating officer of compliance and programming for the PRAC of Southern NJ, assisting in the growth and development of Hispanic communities in South Jersey.
