Haughton joins Capital Impact Group as director of public affairs

Eash Haughton, a former legislative staffer to Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson and aide in Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration, has joined Capital Impact Group as director of public affairs, the firm announced Monday.

Haughton most recently worked at Kivvit, a nationally ranked public affairs firm, where he devised and implemented successful public issue campaigns for government agencies, nonprofits, labor unions and corporate entities.

He also previously served as a policy analyst for the John S. Watson Institute for Urban Policy & Research.

CIG Principal Gerry Gibbs applauded the announcement.

“We are thrilled that Eash has joined our team of talented public affairs experts,” he said. “He is an energetic, results-driven professional with extensive experience in policy and public affairs campaigns. His extensive network of contacts with decision-makers across New Jersey at all levels of government will be a huge asset to our team and our clients.”

Haughton currently is a member of the Mercer County Community College board of trustees, the Ewing Environmental Commission and executive vice president for New Jersey Young Democrats.

“Eash is an emerging leader of a new generation of public affairs professionals who will ensure that our firm continues delivering results for its clients now and in the future,” CIG Principal Gene Mulroy said.
