The Valley Health System in Ridgewood has appointed a new director of general outpatient pediatrics. Dr. Shivani Shah, who is board certified in pediatrics, will see patients at Valley Medical Group‘s pediatrics location in Montvale.
Shah specializes in pediatric primary care with a focus on preventive medicine, child development and managing common childhood diseases. She is passionate about providing comprehensive care from infancy through adolescence, with specific interests in childhood asthma and obesity.
“As a pediatric medical director, I am deeply committed to promoting the health and welfare of children within our community,” Shah said. “I am eager to collaborate with my colleagues to implement innovative strategies that enhance patient care and work to improve outcomes. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.”
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Shah to our team at Valley and look forward to the work she will do to enhance our children’s services program offered in partnership with Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital,” Dr. J. Antonio Quiros, chair of children’s services for Valley Medical Group, said.
Shah received her medical degree from K.J. Somaiya Medical College and Research Centre in Mumbai, India. She completed a pediatric residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden and has done a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
