Imperial Dade expands presence in New York and Canada with latest acquisitions

Imperial Dade acquires Ohio & Michigan Paper Co., adds density in Midwest

Jersey City-based Imperial Dade on Wednesday said it acquired Rochester, New York-based 3G Packaging Inc. and Ontario-based Canpaco Inc., and related companies Crystal Poly Converters, Arcadian Paper Converters Inc. and Canadian Paper & Packaging Co. Ltd. The transactions represent the 86th and 87th for Imperial Dade under the leadership of Robert and Jason Tillis, chairman and CEO of Imperial Dade, respectively.

Financial terms of the private transactions were not disclosed.

Canadian Paper & Packaging Co. Ltd. and Arcadian Paper Converters Inc., established in 1936 and 1960, respectively, and owned and operated by Robert Appel, Brian Charney and John Taylor, have strived to meet and exceed customer expectations in the Quebec marketplace, complementing the shared values of Canpaco.

“Imperial Dade continues to expand its presence across Canada, and we are looking forward to continuing together in our mission to organically grow and provide unmatched customer service throughout North America,” Jason Tillis said.

“I enthusiastically welcome the Canpaco family to Imperial Dade Canada. Now, together, we look forward to building upon already established success and continuing to find ways to better serve our customers and vendor partners,” Stephane Lapointe, president of Imperial Dade Canada, said.

3G was established in 2016 by Vince Stango following the merger of Acker-Pak and CIPS, two companies in the industrial distribution industry. The company lives by its name 3G Packaging; meaning “Great Products, Great Service and Great People.” The company services its loyal and diverse customer base throughout upstate New York from its three locations in Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse. The company commands an exceptional reputation in the market and operates with the same hyperfocus on customer service as it had when it was founded. By leveraging Imperial Dade’s market leading platform, 3G’s customers can expect the same exceptional customized service coupled with an even diversified offering of products and solutions.

“3G Packaging is a fast-growing business in the Industrial Packaging marketspace. 3G Packaging has been in the Top 100 fastest-growing companies for 10 consecutive years, from 2012 to 2022, and its culture aligns seamlessly with Imperial Dade. I welcome the entire 3G family and am excited for the great opportunities to come,” Robert Tillis said.

“3G is a great strategic fit with Imperial Dade, further expanding our presence in New York. Their relentless focus on customer service aligns well with Imperial Dade,” Jason Tillis said.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the decades of dedication and support from the 3G family of employees and thankful for the loyal customers we’ve served over the years,” Stango, president of 3G Packaging, said.
