Public schools in North and Central Jersey dominated the U.S. News & World Report list of top high schools in the state.
Glen Ridge, in Essex County, topped the list — ranking No. 11 overall in the state and No. 198 nationally.
High Technology in Lincroft was ranked as the state’s top high school.
The list, released this week, reviewed approximately 25,000 schools nationwide, ranking 406 schools from New Jersey.

- Glen Ridge (Essex): No. 11 in New Jersey;
- Hunterdon Central (Flemington, Hunterdon): No. 14 in New Jersey;
- West Windsor-Plainsboro South (Mercer): No. 15 in New Jersey;
- West Windsor-Plainsboro North (Mercer): No. 17 in New Jersey;
- Millburn (Essex): No. 19 in New Jersey;
- Livingston (Essex): No. 20 in New Jersey;
- Chatham (Morris): No. 21 in New Jersey;
- Elizabeth (Union): No. 23 in New Jersey;
- Northern Valley Regional (Demarest, Bergen): No. 24 in New Jersey;
- Ridge High School (Somerset): No. 25 in New Jersey.
