Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis adds to its Real Estate Practice Group

Caroline Record has joined Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP as a partner in the Real Estate Department, according to a Monday announcement. Record will serve as co-chair of the firm’s Community Association Practice Group with Steven Mlenak.

“At this stage of my career, I am fortunate to be able to join the team of attorneys who ‘wrote the book’ on community association law,” Record said. “I look forward to further enhancing the profile of this group with Steve Mlenak and the other talented Greenbaum attorneys who I’ve come to know over the years.”

Record will concentrate her practice in community association law, dealing with the unique issues that impact common interest communities such as condominium and homeowner associations and cooperatives. She will provide guidance related to the interpretation, drafting and revision of governing documents, including resolutions, rules and regulations and amendments, as well as service and single project contracts.

In addition to providing counseling on day-to-day operational and other issues, Record will assist association clients in navigating complex contractual negotiations and disputes. She provides targeted and broad-based legal support that assists board members in mitigating potential issues before they escalate into costly legal concerns.

Record is a fellow of the College of Community Association Lawyers. She has long been active and held leadership roles in the Community Associations Institute on both a national and New Jersey state level. She is also a member of the New Jersey State and Morris County Bar Associations.

Record earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, received her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University (Rutgers College) and is licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia.
